114 more sleeps

Tonight we celebrated Grandma Joe's 80th birthday with a beautiful party at Mom and Dad's. Mom, as usual, created a gorgeous backdrop for the delicious dishes everyone contributed.

Family we see too seldom and some of Grandma Joe's oldest friends gathered to honor the birthday girl. I met Dad's 3rd grade teacher, Gladys. The Lloyd's and Turners, Dad's cousins, came in from Floydada and Amarillo.

But baby Wyatt was the main attraction. He is so sweet! Not a single peep the entire party.

He was supremely chill despite lots of pass the beautiful, snuggly baby.

The matriarch meets the newest edition.

One day, Jen will get to celebrate at a party like this. Pretty amazing to think that it all begins here.

There were precious moments...

There were silly moments...

Then things veered into the bizarre...
Wow, that's one hairy baby.
But we love him anyway.

Happy birthday, Grandma Joe! We are thankful for you!
