24 more sleeps

some things I know with a bit over three weeks of pregnancy left...

1. fat is not just a feeling when you have been gestating for 36 weeks. my apologies to anyone who has been monitoring me carefully for possible body image issues, but there is no way around it. i am fat. with child, yes. but fat all the same.

2. you know you are okay with being fat when your husband calls your belly the "round mound of rebound" and you giggle. don't be mad at him. it was really funny.

3. God created people who walk amongst us and respond to the still, small voice that whispers, "there's a very pregnant person. you don't know her, but tell her she looks beautiful."

4. God also created people who are very insistent that they have determined the gender of your unborn child by various and sundry methods and are equally insistent about explaining said methods to you each time you see them.

5. i should have registered for a couple of economy packs of charmin. they definitely would have been more practical than itsy bitsy animal print socks. who knew?

6. on a related note, i would probably accomplish more at work if i moved my desk into the restroom. although, the automatic flush function might make telephone conversations a bit awkward.

7. waddling is my primary mode of transportation.

8. God has some things to say at 3:15 a.m., even if i am not completely enthusiastic about being awake to hear them.

9. i am in love with this part of the journey.
